Tom Curtis is the CEO of Precise Systems, he served on active duty as a naval aviator for 27 years. Tom was a fleet pilot, an instructor pilot, and an engineering test pilot. As the Navy’s lead rotary wing test pilot, Tom was responsible for flight testing all Navy helicopters. He accomplished numerous “first flights” of aircraft, systems and weaponry. As the Navy’s chief engineer for the V-22 Osprey Tiltrotor aircraft, Tom led and exercised decision authority for the V-22 design. In his last active duty assignment, Tom was the Navy’s program manager for the AH 1Z Cobra and UH 1Y Huey helicopters.
Tom holds an MS in Aerospace Engineering (Avionics Specialty) from the Naval Postgraduate School, an MA in Management from Central Michigan University, and a BA in Communications from the University of Georgia. Tom retired as a Navy Captain in 2001.
Scott Pfister is the President and Chief Operating Officer of Precise Systems, he served on active duty in the United States Marine Corps for 11 years, leading Marines in the CH-53 community. While on active duty Scott received several combat awards and was the 1996 recipient of the Danny L Radish Award from Marine Corps Aviation Association.
Scott has served as an officer on several industry councils and organizations including the Southern Maryland SDVOSB Council and the Pax River Small Business Round Table. He holds a BS in Professional Aeronautics from Embry Riddle University and is DAWIA certified in Program Management and Systems Engineering.
As a Senior Vice President, Joe currently oversees Precise Systems support to several NAVAIR Program Offices including PMA-209, PMA-290, and PMA-205. Joe has 32 years of experience supporting DoD and NAVAIR acquisition programs. He is considered a subject matter expert in avionics systems and aircraft subsystems. He has over 15 years of experience supporting and managing aircraft systems hardware, software, systems integration and supportability and configuration management efforts. Joe is also an expert in DoD information technology policies and procedures and played an instrumental role in the NMCI introduction to NAVAIR. He has a significant amount of business training and is a Microsoft Certified Professional.
Angela is the Senior Vice President of Finance for Precise Systems. She has 27 years of progressive experience in her areas of responsibility, which include the accounting, finance and contracts functions. Angela also works closely with the executive leadership team of Precise to provide support for strategic planning, financial reporting, budget development and adherence, as well as contractual items.
She is an expert in DoD financial management policies and procedures, accounting IT systems, and auditing. Her past jobs included assignments at PwC, Continental Airlines, and CarMax. Angela holds a BS in Information Systems from Virginia Commonwealth University.
As a Senior Vice President, Lindy currently oversees Precise Systems support to several NAVAIR Program Offices including PMA-274, PMA-276, and PMA-261. Lindy has 32 years of experience supporting DoD and NAVAIR acquisition programs. Lindy served on active duty as a Marine Corps aviator for 22 years as a Pilot, an Operational Test Director, an Operations Officer and finally as the Executive Officer of Marine Helicopter Squadron One (HMX-1).
Lindy holds a MS in Management from Troy State University, and a BS in Civil Engineering from Auburn University. He is also a graduate of the USMC Command and Staff College graduate and is certified in Program Management from DSMC.
Hank Vanderborght retired as a Colonel from the United States Marine Corps in July 2018. A native of Butare Rwanda, he was commissioned in May 1992 via the NROTC Program at the George Washington University. He was designated a naval aviator in April 1995, and was assigned to HMT–302 in Tustin, California for fleet replacement training in the CH–53E. His first fleet assignment was with HMH–466, the “Wolfpack”. During his first tour, he deployed three times with three separate Marine Expeditionary Units Special Operations Capable (MEU–SOC) and earned every qualification possible in the CH–53E. He served in diverse billets to include operations and maintenance. His last billet during this tour was as Squadron Weapons and Tactics Instructor (WTI). During this tour, he was involved in real world operations in support of OPERATION DESERT THUNDER in the Persian Gulf, and OPERATION SAFE DEPARTURE in Eritrea.
In June 2001 Hank attended the Command and Control Systems course in Quantico, Virginia, where he earned the 9985 MOS (information manager) and the 7502 MOS (Forward Air Controller). Upon graduation, he returned to the fleet and joined HMH–465 as the Aircraft Maintenance Officer. He deployed early to serve on both the 3rd MAW and MAG–16 Forward staffs as a lead rotary wing planner in support of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM ONE.
In July 2003, he was selected to attend the United States Naval Test Pilot School with follow–on orders to Air Test and Evaluation Squadron Two One (HX–21), where he served as CH–53 lead test pilot until March 2007. During his tour as a Test pilot, he lead, and successfully completed thirty four separate test and evaluation projects on five separate type model series aircraft. His largest project was the aviation qualification of the LPD–17 class ships for all Navy and Marine Corps rotary wing and tiltrotor aircraft as well as the AV–8B. Hank was transferred to PMA–261 in March 2007 where he served as the lead Systems Engineer for CH–53K (2007–2009) and Program Manager for the CH–53K (2009–2012). He was then transferred to PMA–276 where he served as the Platform Team Lead, managing the production of the UH–1Y and sundown of the UH–1N helicopters as well as Foreign Military Sales lead for PMA–276. Hank was transferred back to PMA–261 in May 2014 where he served as the H–53 Program Manager overseeing the development of the CH–53K and the sustainment of over 170 fielded CH–53Es. Hank joined Precise Systems in October 2018, and is currently managing the largest business area in the company, business area five. Under Business area 5, Hank manages prime contracts supporting PMA–231, PMA–208, PMA–261, Air 4.1, and two additional separate contracts supporting Navy Electronic Warfare and security work in Crane Indiana.
Hank’s acquisition experience spans the entire life cycle of a major weapon system. He is Level 3 certified in Program Management, Systems Engineering, and Test and Evaluation. He has earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology from the George Washington University, and a Master’s of Science degree in Technical management from Johns Hopkins University. His personal awards include the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, and the MCAA “John Glenn” Test Pilot of the year award. Hank is married to Jennifer Fleming and they have three children, Alec (21), Liam (19) and Kate (15).
As a Vice President, Kevin currently directs the Precise Software Solutions team which assists Precise Systems personnel and customers with requirements, development, configuration, implementation and deployment of Precise SharePoint IDE systems and Knowledge Management tools. He has 25 years of experience as an information technology consultant and manager in IT systems engineering and full lifecycle solution architecture, development, and management. He is an expert at comprehensive technical infrastructure strategy, design, development, and system deployment.
He holds a BS in Computer Science with Aviation Applications from Embry–Riddle Aeronautical University and several Microsoft certifications including; Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (PCPD), Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), and Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS).
As Vice President of Strategy and Growth, John is responsible for developing and implementing a strategic growth plan, implement and maintain business development processes and tools and provide leadership and guidance to the Business Development Team.
John has 32 years supporting DoD, aviation industry, and NAVAIR acquisition programs in Program Management, Systems Engineering, and Test & Evaluation. John is a retired US Marine CH–53E pilot and has served in numerous roles across the aviation industry since his retirement. John holds a BA in Finance and Accounting from Texas A&M University and a MS in Project Management from Boston University.
As the Director of Contracts, Christina has oversight of all cost and price proposals, prime contracts, subcontracting, teaming arrangements, and government regulatory compliance. She serves as the principal interface with Government customers and partner companies regarding all contractual matters. She is integral in developing and implementing company contracting strategies.
Christina has over 17 years of experience in Government Contracting, and possess extensive knowledge and understanding of the U. S. Government acquisition and procurement environment, which has contributed to the team winning new business, while also providing quality service to external and internal customers. She has supported a range of activities to include the preparation and analysis of complex proposals, pricing reviews, negotiations of contracts and subcontracts, contract transitions, and contractual compliance reporting. She has an in–depth understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), as well as specialized expertise of the regulations specific to NAVAIR and NAWCAD, NAVSEA, and SPAWAR
Christina is an active member of the National Contract Management Association (NCMA), National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) and Women in Defense (WID), and The International Association for Contract & Commercial Management (IACCM).
Christina is the Vice President, Human Resources and Corporate Relations for Precise Systems. In her role, she instills an employee-centric, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, career growth and development, goal attainment, and leads the recruitment of a highly qualified and customer service focused workforce. She also leads all aspects of corporate relations, including Information Technology, Facilities, Workplace Safety, and Employee Engagement. Christina is a proven and experienced professional, group facilitator, trainer, and change manager.
Christina holds an MS in Management — Human Resources from the University of Maryland University College. She is an SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM–CP) and also holds a Professional of Human Resources (PHR) certification from the Society of Human Resources Management.
Laura is the Director of Program Development at Precise Systems. She is a trained systems engineer with 12 years of U.S. Navy engineering, acquisition and program management experience. In Laura’s current role she is responsible for developing corporate strategic goals and managing proposal development activities. Her past positions at Precise included Program Manager for the AIR 4.1 Requirements Engineering contract, and as an empowered Flight Clearance Facilitator for H-53 aircraft in support of AIR 4.0P. Previous to joining Precise, Laura served as an Assistant Investigator for the Naval Criminal Investigative Service.
Laura holds an MS in Project Management from Florida Institute of Technology, and a BS in Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland. She is a 2017 graduate of Leadership Southern Maryland.
As Director of Business Development, Steve Russo is responsible for the capture efforts for the Naval Undersea Warfare Centers (NUWCNPT, NUWCKPT). He is an experienced Program Manager and Engineer and has over 25 years’ experience supporting the US Navy. In Steve’s current role he is responsible for capture management in the NUWC market. Before joining Precise, Steve worked as an Engineer, Engineering Manager and Program Manager supporting Naval aircraft and submarines.
Steve holds an MS in Manufacturing Engineering and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island.
As a Director, Linda currently manages and oversees the Precise Systems Software Solutions team which supports customers at all levels of Information Technology to include but not limited to development, testing, help desk support, and training for enterprise level tools.
She has over 25 years of experience with the management and implementation of complex Information Systems on small and large scale projects which include private and government organizations. She has a strong background specializing in network infrastructures. She also has extensive experience in supporting several DoD and NAVAIR acquisition programs to include AIR 1.7, PMA-261, PMA-274, PMA-276, and PMA-275, which offered her the rare and unique opportunity to manage and support all IT efforts aboard the U.S.S. Wasp. She has been with Precise for 15 years and is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).
As a Director, Jeff currently manages and oversees our North Carolina and H-53 operations. He has a combined 27 years of experience supporting DoD, NAVAIR acquisition and NAVAIR Airworthiness programs.
Jeff served on active duty in the United States Marine Corps for 11 years as a CH-53 Helicopter Crew Chief and Quality Assurance Representative. He has over 15 years of experience supporting H-53 Systems Engineering and the NAVAIR Airworthiness Office. Jeff holds a BS in Professional Aeronautics from Embry Riddle University, with a Minor in Logistics.
As a Director, Melissa currently oversees Precise Systems’ Indiana operations supporting customers in NSWC Crane Spectrum Warfare Systems Department and Corporate Operations Department. She has over 15 years of experience in her area of responsibility, which includes personnel and program management, and overseeing numerous prime and subcontracts supporting all departments at NSWC Crane, including Global Deterrence & Defense Department and Special Warfare & Expeditionary Systems Department.
Melissa holds a BA in English from Indiana University-Bloomington.
