#PeopleOfPrecise: Meet Adina Doyle
Behind every mission are dedicated professionals whose expertise helps make success possible. This month, we’re proud to spotlight Senior Scientist Adina Doyle, whose passion for science, mentorship, and collaboration is helping strengthen the future of biodefense.
Supporting two groups within the Biodefense Branch at DEVCOM Chemical Biological Center (CBC), Adina plays a critical role in laboratory sequencing efforts while serving as the technical lead for two programs of record. Her work supports the development of advanced biological detection technologies that provide critical capabilities for the warfighter.
Adina’s journey into biodefense began with a fascination for biology during high school.
“I was drawn to biology early on,” she says. “I earned my bachelor’s degree in Biology with an emphasis in evolution and had the opportunity to conduct undergraduate research studying Yersinia pestis. That experience introduced me to biodefense research and ultimately shaped the career I’m fortunate to have today.”
Today, that passion continues to drive her work every day.
While the science itself is rewarding, Adina says one of the most fulfilling parts of her role is helping others learn.
“I really enjoy lab work and training, and teaching others about sequencing has been a great experience,” she explains. “It’s rewarding to build on my experience mentoring students, interns, and new hires while helping warfighters understand how sequencing can improve biological detection.”
Her dedication to knowledge sharing made her a natural choice to serve as the inaugural speaker for Precise’s new LAUNCH Physical Sciences Lunch & Learn series.
For Adina, innovation happens when people connect.
“The main goal is to foster stronger connections through these discussions and encourage collaboration,” she says. “If we understand the capabilities of those around us, we’re stronger for it. There’s no need to reinvent the wheel when your friendly neighborhood Precise coworker may already have the expertise you need.”
Programs like LAUNCH create opportunities for employees to learn from one another, strengthen technical capabilities, and ultimately deliver even greater value to customers.
“If we know our capabilities and the capabilities of our team as a whole, we can be better prepared to provide the warfighter with the best possible solutions.”
When she’s not advancing biodefense research, Adina enjoys dreaming about her next adventure. Her bucket list includes visiting the United Kingdom, exploring every U.S. National Park, and experiencing parasailing for the first time.
At Precise, our people are our greatest strength. Adina’s dedication to scientific excellence, mentorship, and collaboration exemplifies our commitment to delivering innovative solutions that support our customers’ most critical missions. Thank you, Adina, for everything you do to strengthen our team and help advance the mission.
