#PeopleOfPrecise: Meet Abigail “Abi” Norris

At Precise, our people are at the heart of every mission we support. Behind the logistics, capabilities, and complex challenges are professionals who bring curiosity, collaboration, and a commitment to getting the job done.

This month, we’re proud to spotlight Abi Norris, an FMS Logistics Analyst supporting our Australia team.

For Abi, supporting the mission means keeping critical logistics moving — and finding solutions when the path forward isn’t always straightforward.

Supporting Readiness Around the World

Abi’s primary objective is helping Precise’s international partners maintain operational readiness and strong supply chain integrity.

Her day-to-day work includes coordinating the delivery of critical repair parts and materials overseas, supporting equipment deliveries needed to establish Intermediate Maintenance Activities, and ensuring field personnel have the technical documentation required to service their assets correctly.

She also works across teams to keep those logistics pipelines running smoothly, collaborating with Business Financial Managers, Case Managers, Program Management, and fellow logistics analysts.

From funding and allowances to training and supply chain bottlenecks, Abi helps connect the pieces that allow the broader mission to move forward.

Solving Problems, Finding Better Ways

One of the most rewarding parts of Abi’s role is solving complex supply shortages.

Recently, the team was working to help repair assets in-country, reducing the need to send them all the way back to the United States for repairs.

That required sourcing multiple parts from different field activities and identifying the right repair procedures to support the work.

When the team needed a particular item, they reached out to two different field activities for quotes. One source was significantly less expensive — saving the country thousands of dollars while still getting the asset repaired.

For Abi, moments like that are what make the work rewarding.

It’s not just about moving a part from one place to another. It’s about understanding the bigger picture, solving problems, and finding ways to support the mission more effectively.

A Career That Started at the Front Desk

Abi’s path into FMS began in an unexpected place: the front desk.

She started her career at Precise as a facilities specialist, using the role as an opportunity to meet people, learn about different positions across the company, and understand the work of her civil service counterparts.

Those connections introduced her to Foreign Military Sales and to mentors who helped her see the larger impact of FMS — from strengthening international alliances to delivering defense capabilities and enhancing global security.

That experience helped shape the path she’s on today.

Around the World and Back Again

Abi’s work has taken her to Australia four times, as well as to Port Hueneme Division in California.

One trip, in particular, stands out.

While in Australia to stand watch on a Guided Test Set, cargo flights became increasingly difficult to secure following the beginning of a conflict involving Iran. Flights were being canceled or redirected for higher-priority missions, creating a challenge for getting both the team and equipment home.

Working directly with the Royal Australian Navy provided the solution.

Abi and the team ultimately flew home on a Royal Australian Navy C-17 transport aircraft alongside the equipment.

Her verdict? “It was easily one of the coolest experiences of my life.”

It’s a fitting story for someone whose work often involves navigating complexity and finding a way forward.

Always Looking Ahead

Outside of work, Abi has her sights set on another adventure.

If she could travel anywhere in the world tomorrow, she’d take a three-week tour across Europe, with stops in Paris, Rome, and Greece.

There’s a sentimental connection to each destination. Her nursery was Paris-themed as a baby, she’s wanted to experience Rome in person since studying Latin in high school, and Greece has long been a place she considers one of the most stunning in the world.

For Abi, the perfect trip would be all about exploration — packing as much sightseeing and discovery into those three weeks as possible.

That sense of curiosity comes through in her career, too.

From starting at the front desk to supporting a global FMS mission, Abi has built her path by staying curious, building relationships, and embracing opportunities to learn.

Celebrating the People Behind the Mission

Abi’s work may focus on logistics, supply chains, repair parts, and technical documentation, but the purpose behind it is unmistakably mission-focused.

She’s helping international partners maintain readiness.

She’s helping find more efficient solutions to complex supply challenges.

And she’s helping keep critical capabilities moving where they’re needed.

That’s what #PeopleOfPrecise is all about: celebrating the people behind the mission and the expertise, experiences, and purpose they bring to their work every day.

We’re proud to have Abi on the Precise team — and excited to see where her curiosity and commitment take her next.
