Precise Systems Introduces UDDL Modeler to Simplify Complex Data Modeling and Accelerate System Integration
End-to-end solution provides native Open UDDL implementation, built-in conformance testing and streamlined generation of critical digital artifacts
LEXINGTON PARK, Md. — August 10, 2026 — Precise Systems, Inc. today announced the availability of
UDDL Modeler, a comprehensive development environment designed to simplify the creation,
management and verification of complex system data models. Built on The Open Group’s Open
Universal Domain Description Language (Open UDDL), the solution helps organizations accelerate
software development, improve interoperability and reduce risk throughout the system
integration process.
As defense and aerospace systems become increasingly interconnected, programs must manage extensive
collections of model elements while maintaining data consistency across platforms, suppliers and
system components. UDDL Modeler brings these activities into one intuitive environment, enabling
users to develop data models, conduct UDDL conformance testing and verify third-party system data
with greater speed and confidence.

UDDL implementation. This allows programs to preserve and archive authoritative model baselines in
their true UDDL format, supporting long-term accessibility, portability and data integrity.
The solution’s filterable auto-diagramming and context-driven views enable users to
visualize, access and understand complex relationships across data models. Teams can
efficiently develop and maintain Domain-Specific Data Models containing thousands of elements
while retaining clear visibility into the context of their work.
For programs using the Future Airborne Capability Environment, or FACE®, Technical Standard, UDDL
Modeler provides built-in conformance testing and support for developing FACE Edition 2.1.X and 3.X

Precise Systems Acquires Ternion Corporation, Expanding Modeling, Simulation and Training Capabilities
LEXINGTON PARK, MD and McLEAN, VA — August 5, 2026— Precise Systems, Inc., a portfolio company of Bluestone Investment Partners, announced today that it has acquired Ternion Corporation, a Huntsville, Alabama-based developer of advanced modeling and simulation software. The acquisition expands Precise Systems’ Interactive Training & Simulation capabilities and advances its strategy of accelerating technology innovation to deliver scalable solutions that enhance warfighter readiness and mission effectiveness.
Founded in 1989, Ternion develops commercial off-the-shelf and custom simulations for aerospace, defense and transportation organizations worldwide. The company is the creator of FLAMES®, a flexible simulation framework used to develop composable constructive and virtual simulations and enable interfaces across live, virtual and constructive environments. Ternion’s solutions support a wide range of applications, including command and control training, mission planning and rehearsal, systems engineering, test and evaluation, experimentation and analysis.
