#PeopleOfPrecise: Meet Annie Davenport

This Military Spouse Appreciation Day, we’re honored to feature Annie Davenport, a Program Management Analyst supporting our AMS Visualizations and Data Analytics team.
Annie’s story is one of resilience, growth, and embracing opportunity — even when life doesn’t follow a predictable path.

In her role, Annie works closely with development teams to gather requirements, refine details, and review dashboards to ensure the team delivers meaningful, high-quality products that meet AMS standards. Like many military spouses, Annie has learned how to navigate constant change while continuing to grow personally and professionally.
“In our family, we have a saying: ‘Clothes on, teeth brushed, keep the dog alive,’” Annie shared. “It started during my husband’s first deployment when everything felt chaotic. Now, it’s our reminder that sometimes accomplishing the basics is enough.”
That perspective has shaped how Annie approaches both work and life — prioritizing what matters most, adapting through uncertainty, and giving herself grace during challenging seasons.
One of the most meaningful experiences in Annie’s military spouse journey came during her husband’s first deployment, when she gave birth to their twin daughters alone.

“Six months later, he came home and I got to introduce him to his daughters,” Annie said. “While the delivery alone was incredibly difficult, it was also an unforgettable experience being the person who got to hand him his daughters for the first time.”
Annie first discovered Precise during a career fair while preparing for a move to Pax River. Although there wasn’t an immediate opening aligned with her experience, she remembers feeling encouraged by the conversation.
“For the first time, an employer didn’t hesitate when they saw multiple moves and varied roles on my resume,” Annie shared. “Instead, they saw it as diverse experience that could bring value to the team.”
Since joining Precise, Annie says she has felt supported in building a long-term career — something she once believed might not be possible as a military spouse.
“Being able to say I have a career — not just a job — as a military spouse is something I thought would have to wait until my husband retired.”
When asked what advice she would give to others beginning their military spouse journey, Annie encouraged people to stay open to unexpected opportunities.
“Be willing to take a chance and don’t waste an opportunity,” she said. “The role you least expect may become the career path you love.”
At Precise, we’re proud to celebrate team members like Annie whose stories reflect perseverance, dedication, and the strength of the military spouse community.
Thank you, Annie, for sharing your story and for all you contribute to our team every day.
#PeopleOfPrecise: Meet Maira Foust
Meet Maira Foust – Project Manager, military spouse, and Precise Systems’ employee spotlight for May 2025.
Each May is celebrated nationally as Military Appreciation Month, with one day being dedicated to recognizing our military spouses. This year, May 9th marks Military Spouse Appreciation Day, and we are excited to recognize one of our very own.
Maira Foust is a Project Manager supporting our PMA-205 team and has been with Precise since August 2023. Prior to joining Precise, Maira served as a military spouse for 14 years, supporting her husband and their family during his time in the Air Force. The most rewarding part of being a military spouse, she explains, is the deep sense of pride and purpose that comes with supporting someone who willingly serves their country. Maira says, “There is so much fulfillment in the strength and resilience we develop and the close-knit community we become part of in the military.”

Although there are many employment opportunities in the Patuxent River area, Maira knew she wanted to make Precise her professional home when she saw the excellent service and solutions provided to our customers. She immediately knew she wanted to be part of that team of outstanding professionals and saw that she would be given many opportunities to grow in her career.
One of the biggest challenges for military spouses is finding a career that not only supports their unique lifestyle but also values the experience and skills they can bring to the table. Precise has provided Maira with a stable and fulfilling career path, while still offering the flexibility and understanding that her and her family’s military life required. Speaking of her career with Precise, she says, “The supportive culture of Precise and the leadership team has made it possible for me to grow professionally without compromising my role at home. I am so grateful to be part of a company that truly understands and supports the military community.”
Maira believes, and is a living testament to, that a military spouse’s career does not have to wait due to military life – it can truly thrive alongside it. For a military spouse looking to begin or continue their career, she would tell them to never underestimate the value of adaptability, resilience, and diverse perspectives. These are just some of the skills military spouses can uniquely bring to an organization, and it is important to seek out employers who recognize and support the military community and understand the strengths of military spouses.
Outside of being a military spouse and a project manager, Maira is an avid country music fan! When asked what three songs she has on her playlist right now, she says:
- “Good Horses” by Lainey Wilson
- “What He’ll Never Have” by Dylan Scott
- “Spin You Around” by Morgan Wallen
We are so grateful for Maira and all military spouses supporting our organization and nation beyond. Thank you for your courage, sacrifice, and service to our country. We see you, we are inspired by you, and we salute you!
#PeopleOfPrecise: Meet Annie Davenport
Meet Annie Davenport – AMS team lead, military spouse, and Precise Systems’ Employee Spotlight for December 2023.
Annie joined our Precise Team over three years ago when she and her husband received orders from the Marine Corps to relocate to NAS Patuxent River. She found Precise through a job fair she attended and immediately knew she had found somewhere unique. In the past, Annie had been told to hide the fact that she was a military spouse since she would often get questioned about how long she would be in one place or the type of experience she could bring to a job.
Once she started talking to the recruiter and learned about our proud relationship with the Military Spouse Employment Partnership, Annie knew she had found a company that not only accepted the fact that she was a spouse but embraced it and was actually excited about all the unique skills that she had from holding an array of jobs and working with diverse groups of people. She finally felt valued as a military spouse, which led her to accept a job with Precise.
Annie supports our Acquisition Management System (AMS) team out of our Maryland office. AMS is a software application that supports multiple DoD SYSCOMs in their acquisition process. This includes market research, financial planning, tracking schedules, and managing document workflows and deliverables.
As a team lead, she is responsible for overseeing the support provided to users of the AMS product. Annie and her team deliver both formal and informal training, troubleshoot any technical issues, and monitor an open line of communication between themselves and AMS users. She also oversees a team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) that helps AMS users manage their portfolios so they can stay on schedule and meet their financial benchmarks.
For Annie, one of the most rewarding aspects of being part of the AMS team is knowing that every day, she works with people who not only want the best for themselves but for everyone around them. They are all high-achieving, highly supportive people who do not leave anyone else behind. Speaking about the team, Annie says, “It is really comforting to know that when I am putting my all into a task, everyone else on the team is also doing their best work. There are no slackers on the AMS team. While the team is always striving to do better, they are also very quick to help each other out. Everyone at AMS wants to see each other succeed.”
Being on this team reminds Annie of her husband, Tyler, who is one of the most inspiring people she knows. Each day, Tyler strives to be the best Marine, pilot, friend, husband, and father to their two daughters. This doesn’t just stop with himself, though. It is his goal to make everyone around him the best versions of themselves, as well. Annie has seen Tyler mentor young Marine pilots, show up for his people when they need him, and above all, put his family first. Annie can rest assured, knowing that her husband will always be there for her and their daughters, and be their biggest cheerleader in anything they do.
As a team lead, spouse, and mother, life can get pretty busy for Annie! When asked what her ideal superpower would be, she says, “Some days I wish I could multiply myself. Then, I actually could be everywhere all the time.”
We are incredibly grateful to have Annie as part of our Precise Team, not only because of the valuable work she does with the AMS product and supporting our users but also because of her service to our nation as a military spouse. We salute you and we thank you, Annie!

Precise Employees Partner with Support Our Troops
LEXINGTON PARK, MD, February 28, 2023 – Precise Systems is proud to announce that they have collected over 160 items and over 200 total pounds of donations from multiple office locations around the country for their annual Support Our Troops Care Package Initiative.
Many of the donations included items that will be of great benefit to overseas servicemen and women, including shampoo, mouthwash, nutritious snack foods, body wipes, menstrual products, and laundry detergent. As a veteran-founded business and one that is committed to hiring active-duty members, veterans, and military spouses, Precise is grateful to have the annual opportunity to show their support for the ultimate hero – the warfighter.
Audrey Pence, a Precise Systems Human Resources Specialist, has walked through three deployments with her husband, who is a pilot in the U.S. Navy. Although she is not deployed herself, she knows just how special receiving these packages can be. She says, “Each day away from loved ones can feel more or less the same, so receiving something different and knowing that people back home are thinking about them can mean a lot!”
The company wrapped this Care Package Initiative on one of their R.E.D. Fridays, a company-wide campaign started in November to Remember Everyone Deployed. By asking employees to wear red or one of their R.E.D. branded shirts and sweatshirts, Precise can raise awareness about the demands of military life for all of those involved – both domestic and abroad.
