Precise Systems Recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor

Lexington Park, MD, December 17, 2025 – U.S. Secretary of Labor Lori Chavez-DeRemer recognized Precise Systems as one of the record-breaking 887 recipients of the 2025 HIRE Vets Medallion Award during a virtual award ceremony presented by the U.S. Department of Labor.

Precise Systems earned the Gold Medallion after applying earlier this year. The Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans Act (HIRE Vets Act) Medallion Program is the only federal award program that recognizes employers who successfully recruit, hire, and retain veterans.

“We’re grateful to be recognized with the 2025 HIRE Vets Gold Medallion once again,” says Julie Lipoff, Precise Systems’ Senior Vice President of Recruiting. “With veterans at every level of our organization, hiring our warfighters is a natural extension of our mission and our shared commitment to continued service.”

Recipients of the 2025 HIRE Vets Medallion Award meet rigorous employment and veteran integration assistance criteria, including veteran hiring and retention percentages; availability of veteran-specific resources; leadership programming for veterans; dedicated human resource efforts; pay compensation and tuition assistance programs for veterans. Over 2,200 employers have earned a total of 5,371 HIRE Vets Medallion Awards since 2019.

“The HIRE Vets Medallion Award is the federal government’s only veteran-hiring award. Recipients must meet high standards and demonstrate significant accomplishments in support of our nation’s veterans,” said Assistant Secretary for Veterans’ Employment and Training James D. Rodriguez. “We appreciate their hard work and commitment to providing our nation’s veterans with meaningful employment.”

“The extraordinary efforts of Precise Systems to hire, retain and support veterans and the military-connected community have earned the organization one of our highest awards,” said George Altman, president of VETS Indexes.

“Competition for the VETS Indexes Employer Awards was tougher than ever in 2024, as a record number of organizations participated. Even with hundreds of employers in the running, the veterans program at Precise Systems stood out from the rest. Congratulations to Precise Systems on this outstanding achievement!” Altman said.

This year, a record 344 organizations submitted completed surveys for the VETS Indexes Employer Awards, an increase of more than 100 from last year and nearly triple the number from two years ago. Of those, VETS Indexes recognized 285 organizations across the following award levels: 5 Star Employer, 4 Star Employer, 3 Star Employer, and Recognized Employer. Not every responding organization made the cut – only those that demonstrated a strong commitment to veterans, members of the National Guard and Reserves, and military spouses. Participating organizations included companies large and small, government agencies and departments, nonprofit groups, colleges, and universities.

As the most objective and comprehensive evaluation of veteran employers, the VETS Indexes Employer Awards program has set a new standard in veteran employment data. VETS Indexes and its Employer Awards have been featured on CNBC, Fox Business and BNN Bloomberg, as well as military-specific outlets, including Military.com, Military Times and Stars & Stripes. This in-depth survey and recognition program analyzes employers’ policies, practices, and outcomes in detail, across the following 5 categories:

  • Veteran job candidate recruiting and hiring
  • Veteran employee development and retention
  • Veteran-inclusive policies and culture
  • Support for members of the National Guard and Reserves
  • Military spouse/family support

About VETS Indexes

VETS Indexes is a leading voice on veteran employment issues, overseeing the VETS Indexes Employer Awards, hosting the Employing U.S. Vets Conference, unearthing unique and unprecedented data on veteran employment through the Veteran Employment Benchmarking Service, and developing custom indexes, linked to financial products, that track the performance of the publicly traded companies that have established themselves as the best employers for veterans.

The VETSX and VTRNIX indexes were created on the premise that the companies that make the best use of the highly talented, yet under-valued, talent pool that veterans represent will ultimately see a benefit to their bottom lines. The performance of the indexes has emphatically confirmed that thesis, outpacing the S&P 500.

As the world’s first resource for U.S.-veteran-themed indexes, our mission is to provide innovative solutions that recognize the value created by the mission-critical mindset, unique skills, and specialized training that veterans bring to the workplace. Inc. Magazine Reveals Annual List of America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies—the Inc. 5000

NEW YORK, NY, August 17, 2021 — Inc. magazine today revealed that Precise Systems is No. 3978 on its annual Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent small businesses. Intuit, Zappos, Under Armour, Microsoft, Patagonia, and many other well-known names gained their first national exposure as honorees on the Inc. 5000.

“Our recognition amongst the nation’s fasting growing companies can be attributed to the incredible team we have, and our obsessive focus on our principal core values; “delight the customer” and “put people first”. We are honored and humbled to be part of such a prestigious group of companies for the 6th year in a row,” says Scott Pfister, Precise Systems President & Chief Operating Officer

Not only have the companies on the 2021 Inc. 5000 been very competitive within their markets, but this year’s list also proved especially resilient and flexible given 2020’s unprecedented challenges. Among the 5,000, the average median three-year growth rate soared to 543 percent, and median revenue reached $11.1 million. Together, those companies added more than 610,000 jobs over the past three years.

Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region, and other criteria, can be found at www.inc.com/inc5000. The top 500 companies are featured in the September issue of Inc., which will be available on newsstands on August 20.

“The 2021 Inc. 5000 list feels like one of the most important rosters of companies ever compiled,” says Scott Omelianuk, editor-in-chief of Inc. “Building one of the fastest-growing companies in America in any year is a remarkable achievement. Building one in the crisis we’ve lived through is just plain amazing. This kind of accomplishment comes with hard work, smart pivots, great leadership, and the help of a whole lot of people.”

More about Inc. and the Inc. 5000

Methodology

Companies on the 2021 Inc. 5000 are ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2017 to 2020. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2017. They must be U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2020. (Since then, some on the list may have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2017 is $100,000; the minimum for 2020 is $2 million. As always, Inc. reserves the right to decline applicants for subjective reasons. Growth rates used to determine company rankings were calculated to three decimal places. There was one tie on this year’s Inc. 5000.  Companies on the Inc. 500 are featured in Inc.’s September issue. They represent the top tier of the Inc. 5000, which can be found at http://www.inc.com/inc5000.

LEXINGTON PARK, MD, May 20, 2021 — VETS Indexes, a firm dedicated to promoting veteran employment, is proud to announce that Precise Systems has earned the designation VETS Indexes 3 Star Employer, as part of the 2021 VETS Indexes Employer Awards. The award recognizes the organization’s commitment to recruiting, hiring, retaining, developing and supporting veteran employees and others in the military-connected community.

“Coming out of the military with cutting-edge technical training, as well as critical soft skills including leadership and teamwork, veterans represent one of our nation’s richest talent pools. Yet all too often, civilian employers fail to put in place the policies and practices needed to understand and attract military-connected talent,” said George Altman, managing director of VETS Indexes.

“Precise Systems has established itself as one of the nation’s top veteran employers, with its status as a VETS Indexes 3 Star Employer. Their commitment to not just hiring veterans, but then helping them to develop into integral and high-ranking employees, is outstanding and deserves recognition.”

The first inaugural VETS Indexes Employer Awards are based on VETS Indexes’ granular and objective 65-question survey, which evaluates employers across the following 5 categories:
★ Veteran job candidate recruiting and hiring
★ Veteran employee development and retention
★ Veteran-inclusive company policies and culture
★ Support for members of the National Guard and Reserves
★ Military spouse/family support

More than 300 employers participated in this competitive process, with over 100 organizations submitting completed surveys to be considered for the awards. Responding organizations included companies large and small, government agencies and departments, and nonprofit groups. Not all organizations that participated were recognized with awards. The VETS Indexes Employer Awards are reserved only for the organizations whose veteran-related efforts stand out from the pack, as the best.
